The death toll in a collision between a Romanian passenger ship and a Bulgarian tugboat on the Danube River has risen to 161, the Yugoslav news agency Tanjug reported. It said in a dispatch from Bucharest, the Romanian capital, that only 18 of the 179 people aboard the ship survived the accident early Sunday morning. All on board were Romanian citizens, it said. The ship, the Mogoshoaja, capsized after colliding with the tugboat near the city of Galati, 120 miles northeast of Bucharest, in poor visibility, the official Bulgarian news agency BTA said.
