National Semiconductor Corp.: The Santa Clara, Calif.-based computer technology concern reported a net loss of $21.9 million for the first quarter of fiscal 1990, compared to a $30.5-million loss a year ago. Revenue fell 11% to $397.6 million. The company said it was “encouraged” by continued improved performance during a quarter that “saw flat semiconductor business conditions.”
