Robert V. Dickinson has been named vice president of Japanese operations for Western Digital Corp., an Irvine-based computer equipment manufacturer. He was previously vice president and general manager of the graphics business unit of Western Digital Imaging. Before joining Western Digital, Dickinson was president and chief executive of Verticom Inc., a computer graphics company bought by Western Digital.
