Former Raider running back Frank Hawkins was convicted of a misdemeanor charge stemming from a scuffle with a police officer outside a convenience store he owned in North Las Vegas, Nev.

Hawkins was found guilty of resisting arrest in the July 19 incident in which he was chasing a suspected shoplifter out of the store when a policewoman ordered him to stop. When Hawkins did not respond, the officer attempted to restrain him and Hawkins threw her to the ground.

Municipal Judge Douglas Crawford sentenced Hawkins to the time he spent in custody the night of the arrest.
