Weider Agrees to Buy Schiff Products Assets

Weider Health & Fitness in Woodland Hills agreed to buy most of the assets of Schiff Products, a marketer of vitamins, nutritional supplements and personal-care products, for $8.2 million cash.

Weider, which has interests in fitness magazines and bodybuilding equipment, reached the agreement with Schiff’s parent company, Iroquois Brands Ltd. Iroquois said the proposed divestiture was part of its plan to focus on industrial products.
