Zsa Zsa Gabor, bursting into tears over the “lies” of a witness, bolted toward the courtroom door today but stopped short when the judge ordered her to return to her seat.

“It’s (the testimony) a total lie,” Gabor said, sobbing to herself. “I can’t take this.”

The outburst took place during the testimony of Beverly Hills Police Officer Scott Thompson, the second officer to arrive at the scene when Gabor was arrested June 14. Thompson testified that Gabor swore at him and said, “I’ll have your job on this. I’ll call the Reagans on this.”

Gabor jumped out of her seat and stormed toward the courtroom door, saying under her breath, “It’s a total lie.” Municipal Court Judge Charles Rubin stopped her retreat by ordering her to return.

Gabor burst into tears, saying “I can’t take this,” and a recess was called while she and her attorney went into an adjacent room so she could compose herself.

Earlier, in a lighter mood on her arrival at the courthouse, Gabor said her expressed fear of going to jail and running into lesbians there should not have been interpreted as prejudice.

Gabor said she received a letter from a national organization of homosexuals, which she declined to identify, complaining about her characterization of lesbians. The letter pointed out that homosexuals are “lovely people,” she said, “but I (already) know it.”
