David Emmes of South Coast Repertory has been named co-chairman of a committee organizing the arts component of “Festival of Britain, Orange County 1990,” a retail promotion and cultural celebration planned for next year. Emmes replaces Kevin E. Consey, who recently resigned as executive director of the Newport Harbor Art Museum to take a job in Chicago. Emmes will co-chair the committee with Judith Peterson, director of the Muckenthaler Cultural Center.
