AF to Resume Using Live Bombs in Training

From United Press International

A select group of Strategic Air Command crews is expected to begin training with live bombs early next year, the Air Force announced Wednesday.

A spokesman said the move will mark the first time since the Vietnam War that training will involve live bombs.

The 500-pound bombs would be dropped on Air Force ranges in New Mexico, Kansas, Utah and Idaho, officials at Ellsworth Air Force Base near Rapid City said.
