P.M. BRIEFING : Chevy, GMC Expand Incentives
- Share via
DETROIT — The Chevrolet and GMC divisions of General Motors Corp. today expanded buyer incentive programs on 1990 models to include selected models of leftover 1989 cars and light trucks.
Chevrolet, along with all other GM divisions except Cadillac, announced rebates on selected 1990 models last week to replace offers on 1989 models that expired Sept. 27.
Oldsmobile was the only GM division to announce a new buyer program Wednesday on 1989 models in attempts to clear inventories of those cars before the 1990-model year officially gets under way next week.
All GM programs, valid until further notice, will offer as an alternative to cash incentives low-rate financing, with interest rates between 6.9% and 10.9%, depending on loan length.
