Pasadena : 2 Levels for Golf Fees

Share

Pasadena residents and the 700 members of the Brookside Men’s and Women’s Clubs will pay less than non-residents at the Brookside Golf Course when golf fees are raised Oct. 1.

Under the fee hike approved Tuesday by the Pasadena Board of Directors, yearly revenues will increase by 22% to $3.3 million, using a resident and non-resident fee structure.

Residents’ fees for 18 holes of weekend golf will rise $1 to $14, and club members will pay residents’ rates. Non-residents will pay $17 for the same thing.

The changes were approved after city staff members determined that non-residents play 80% of the estimated 186,000 rounds of golf at Brookside.

American Golf Corp., which operates the course, each year will use $75,000 of the estimated $607,415 annual revenue increase for course improvements over the next three years.
