President Bush said Wednesday that he won’t be “deterred by rumors” that Colombian drug lords have made threats against his five children, but he confirmed that security has been increased for his family.

A published report said drug lords have threatened to kidnap one of his children if the U.S. and Colombian governments don’t grant them amnesty. However, Bush told reporters in the Oval Office that intelligence officials have never mentioned such a threat to him.
