Herbert J. Lanese, 44, has been named senior vice president-finance at McDonnell Douglas, St. Louis. He is currently vice president and controller of Tenneco Inc. in Houston. Lanese, who will join McDonnell Douglas in early October, replaces Jerry G. Brown, who plans to take early retirement at the end of November.
