State Appellate Judge Appointed
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge from Culver City has been appointed by Gov. George Deukmejian to serve as a state appellate court judge.
Judge Paul A. Turner’s appointment, which was announced recently by the governor’s office and requires confirmation by a state judicial commission, would elevate him to the 2nd District Court of Appeal. The confirmation hearing will be Nov. 2 in Los Angeles.
Before serving as a Superior Court judge, Turner, 41, also worked in the Los Angeles area as a Municipal Court judge.
