A right-wing terrorist group called the White Hand has resurfaced in Guatemala and sent death threats to at least 100 people, the Guatemala Flash radio reported. It said the White Hand sent statements to various local newspapers and radio stations, threatening to strike soon against members of the National Assembly, other public officials and private sector leaders. The group originally surfaced in 1960, and authorities have blamed it for kidnapings and killings of several liberal political leaders.
