Crime Prevention Official Stabbed
The state attorney general’s crime prevention coordinator was stabbed in the back on his first day on the job, authorities reported Thursday.
Chuck Moltz, 42, was stabbed with a hunting knife Wednesday as he leaned into his car to get a radio out, Sheriff Paul McGrath said.
The car was parked across the street from the attorney general’s office when the unknown assailant stabbed Moltz, the sheriff said.
“He didn’t try to take anything. It’s really an odd case. There’s no apparent reason,” McGrath said.
Moltz was hospitalized in stable condition.
