Amplicon Inc.: The Santa Ana-based computer leasing company reported a 47% decline in net income despite record revenue for the fiscal year ended June 30. Net earnings totaled $5.2 million, compared to $9.9 million a year ago. The company said an accounting change resulted in a decrease in net earnings of approximately $1.2 million for fiscal 1989. Revenue for the year increased 44%, to $137.9 million from $95.8 million. Net earnings for the fourth quarter declined 48%, to $1.4 million from the $2.7 million reported for the comparable period a year ago. Revenue dropped slightly, to $28 million from $28.4 million.
