GM May Enter Battle for Jaguar: General Motors Corp. reportedly arranged a meeting--which was subsequently canceled--with unions at Jaguar Cars to discuss GM’s possible involvement in the British auto maker’s future. Ford Motor Co. began building its stake in Jaguar two weeks ago. Union officials believe that the delay has allowed GM to hold talks with Jaguar over alternatives to Ford’s stake building, which Sir John Egan, the Jaguar chairman, has said is unwelcome.
