NEW YORK — A woman threw three of her children from a 10th-floor window today, authorities said. Two children were critically injured, but the third clung to a ledge and was rescued.
The children, who fell from the building in the Far Rockaway section of Queens, suffered massive internal injuries, fractures and cardiac arrest, said Charles De Gaetano of the Emergency Medical Services.
He said paramedics tried to revive the children at the scene and were continuing the effort at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital. A third child managed to cling to the window ledge, did not fall and was rescued, police said.
