Anti-apartheid activist Rev. Allan Boesak led 10,000 blacks on a march through the town of Worcester, South Africa, and vowed to “bring this government down” through peaceful protest. The rally began at a church outside town and proceeded to the police station, where a list of demands was read, including the release of political prisoners and an end to the state of emergency. Boesak said he will make similar demands when he and other activists meet Wednesday with President Frederik W. de Klerk in Pretoria.
