Three people died when a speeding motorcycle apparently ran a red light, crashed into a station wagon and briefly caught fire on the main street of Visalia, a small community in the San Joaquin Valley. Police said two women in the car were killed instantly. The car flipped onto its roof when it was rammed by the motorcycle, said Visalia Police Lt. Jim Harbottle. The motorcycle came to rest on its side and briefly caught fire with the driver pinned underneath. The driver of the motorcycle was killed instantly and his passenger, David Ruiz, 19, was seriously injured when he was thrown from the bike. Witnesses told police that the motorcycle was traveling about 90 m.p.h. when it hit the station wagon.
