Lakers Take Kings 115-94 in Honolulu

A. C. Green scored 16 points and led an early charge as the Lakers defeated the Sacramento Kings 115-94 Wednesday night at Blaisdell Arena in the first exhibition game for both NBA teams.

James Worthy was the game’s high scorer, with 19 points for the Lakers.

It was the Lakers first game without retired center Kareem Abdul Jabbar. And for his replacement, Vlade Divac, it was his first game in a Laker uniform.

The 7-1 Yugoslav scored 12 points and drew applause from the crowd of 4,896 for his defensive play.
