SADDLEBACK / SOUTH BEACH : SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Pit-Barbecued Beef to Be Served Sunday

More than 650 pounds of beef will be served by the San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Assn. at its 32nd annual pit barbecue fund-raiser scheduled for noon Sunday.

The event heralds the annual migration of the swallows, which fly to the Southern Hemisphere in the fall, and is also the major fund-raiser for the annual Fiesta de las Golondrinas Parade, scheduled for March 24.

The barbecue will be at the Rancho Mission Viejo Campo Vaquero, five miles east of San Juan Capistrano along Ortega Highway.

Tickets are $7 per person, $6 per couple and $3 for children under 12. They can be purchased by calling the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce at (714) 493-4700.
