NASA officials said that a huge satellite known as Solar Max will fall to Earth soon, perhaps in three big pieces. “We predict it will come sometime in mid-November,” said Charles Redmond of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s science office at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. “It may produce up to three 120-pound pieces after re-entry.” Solar Max passes over southernmost parts of Florida and Texas, Hawaii, much of South America, Africa, India, Australia and southern China.
