CALIFORNIA IN BRIEF : MODESTO : Man Indicted in Counterfeiting

A federal grand jury has indicted a man on charges of counterfeiting $115,000 worth of cash in Modesto. Steven Brian Swenson was accused in an indictment released Friday of counterfeiting federal reserve notes in denominations ranging from $1 to $100 between Sept. 10 and Oct. 8. Swenson also faces charges of possessing counterfeit money and aluminum plates used to make it and passing a counterfeit $100 bill in Manteca on Oct. 8.
