2 Sentenced to Death for Selling Panda Skins

BEIJING —
Two Chinese farmers were sentenced to death and two others were given life imprisonment for selling panda skins, the official New China News Agency said Friday.
An intermediate court in the southwest province of Sichuan imposed the death sentence on Liang Yongzheng for selling seven panda skins for 300,000 yuan, or $81,000. The other condemned man, He Guanghai, made 30,000 yuan, or $8,100, by selling skins, the agency said.
