McDonald’s Corp.: The fast-food operator’s third-quarter net income climbed 14% from a year ago to $217.9 million. Revenue totaled $1.63 billion, up 12%. The Oak Brook, Ill.-based firm said sales were positively affected by the national introduction of the McChicken sandwich in the United States in May and strong sales growth outside of the United States, especially in Europe.
