Pacific Enterprises: The parent of Southern California Gas Co. and Thrifty Corp. reported third-quarter net income of $49 million, off 25% from the same period last year, on revenue of $1.57 billion, about the same as 1988. The Los Angeles firm said net income was down primarily because of a non-recurring property sale that boosted earnings in the third quarter of 1988.
