STATE : Teacher Sentenced for Molesting
A former Hawaiian Gardens elementary school teacher was sentenced today to 18 years in state prison for molesting seven boys in his fourth-grade class.
Eduardo G. Maese, 36, of La Puente, who pleaded guilty Aug. 31 to 11 felony counts of lewd acts with a child under age 14, was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Robert Armstrong in Norwalk. The judge could have sentenced Maese to up to 28 years in state prison.
Deputy District Atty. Eric Davis said Maese, while teaching fourth-graders at Hawaiian Elementary School, molested seven of his male pupils.
