Ethiopian Charged With Slaying Family

JERUSALEM —
An unemployed Ethiopian immigrant was ordered held for psychiatric observation Friday after being charged with killing his wife and four children in their home, police said.
Adja Issawi, 36, was taken into custody at the family’s home near the northern coastal city of Haifa. Police said he stabbed to death his 26-year-old wife, their 7-year-old daughter and three sons, ages 1, 3 and 5.
