IRVINE : 2nd Forum Planned on Youth, Alcohol

Share

As part of an effort to encourage community participation and increase awareness of the Youth Alcohol Access Study, the city’s Substance Abuse Task Force will hold a second town forum on “Youth and Alcohol.”

The forum is scheduled for Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Multi-Services Center at 17200 Jamboree Road. The meeting will provide retailers, public safety officials and other members of the community with an opportunity to review the findings and recommendations of the “Youth Alcohol Access Project Report.”

“We’re hoping that all interested people, including the youth themselves, will turn out to discuss these issues,” said Marsha Burgess, community services superintendent. “The purpose of the town forum is to let the community decide what limits, if any, they want to set and how they want to provide youths with alcohol-safe environments.”
