TOKYO —
7-11 Japan Co. Ltd. will acquire the Hawaii division of the Dallas-based Southland Corp., which operates the chain of convenience stores in the United States, the Japanese company said today.
7-11 Japan will pay $75 million to the U.S. 7-11 operator and take over operation of the current 55 stores in Hawaii, with plans to add franchise stores in the future, a company spokesman said.
