Explosion Damages Siberian Gas Pipeline

MOSCOW —
An explosion on the Siberian gas pipeline caused by a sharp drop in temperature destroyed 2 1/2 miles of pipe, the Tass news agency said last week.
Tass said there were no injuries in the blast, which occurred near the Siberian city of Norilsk, 1,600 miles northeast of Moscow.
