Pacific Symphony concertmaster Endre Granat will substitute as concertmaster for the Mozart Camerata for the rest of the season, Camerata music director Ami Porat announced Tuesday. Brian Denbow, concertmaster for the Camerata’s opening concert on Nov. 11, also plays the viola in the Angeles Quartet.
“Brian Denbow is the concertmaster (of the Camerata), but obviously his first commitments are to the Angeles Quartet, and this season and probably the next season, they have a tremendous amount of engagements,” Porat said. “This doesn’t mean that Brian is being replaced. I’m very fortunate to have both as concertmasters.”
The chamber orchestra’s next concert will be on Jan. 26 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. Information: (714) 634-8276.
