Pistol Shot Kills Boy, 9, Playing Russian Roulette

A 9-year-old boy died Friday after he accidentally shot himself while playing Russian roulette with his father’s pistol, District of Columbia police said. John Thomas, left at home alone while his mother ran errands, invited three friends to his northeast Washington home to play Russian roulette. Thomas knew where the bullets were kept and loaded the gun himself, authorities said.
