Pope’s 6th Africa Trip

ROME —
The Vatican announced Saturday that Pope John Paul II will visit five countries of west and north-central Africa from Jan. 25 to Feb. 1 next year. It will be his sixth trip to Africa.
The trip will take the Pope to Cape Verde on Jan. 25-27, Guinea-Bissau on Jan. 27-28, Mali on Jan. 28-29, Burkina Faso on Jan. 29-30 and Chad on Jan. 30-Feb. 1.
