Police Corner Suspected Drug Dealer in Closet
A suspected drug dealer wanted on federal narcotics charges and in the attempted murder of a police officer was captured in South Los Angeles on Wednesday after authorities cornered him in a closet, officials said.
Ricky Donnell Ross, 25, was also being sought for skipping $5-million bail on Texas cocaine trafficking charges, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Lon Salzman said.
Ross, a former Crip gang member known as “Freeway Rick” because he owned a motel near the Harbor Freeway, is also wanted by the Drug Enforcement Administration on federal cocaine charges, police said.
