Services Sunday for Cancer, Blood Specialist Dr. Paul Lewis Aronsohn

NEWPORT BEACH — Memorial services for Dr. Paul Lewis Aronsohn of Corona del Mar will be Sunday in the Sculpture Gardens of Newport Harbor Art Museum.
Aronsohn, 47, a blood and cancer specialist at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, died Saturday of lung cancer at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.
A native of New York City, Aronsohn was a former director of the intensive care unit at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Mich., and a former clinical professor at Wayne State University in Detroit. He was a director and founder of the Michigan Hodgkin Foundation and a member of the state committee that founded Michigan’s first hospice center.
Dr. Aronsohn moved to Corona del Mar in January, 1982, and practiced medicine in Orange County and in the Long Beach area. Survivors include his wife, Kristine.
The service will be at 2 p.m. at the museum, 850 San Clemente Drive, Newport Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Paul Lewis Aronsohn Memorial Fund, 49 Montecito Drive, Corona del Mar, Calif. 92625.
