Israeli soldiers killed five heavily armed Arabs who crossed the border from Egypt, the Israeli army said. The clash occurred before dawn in the Negev Desert near Mt. Harif. The Israeli soldiers suffered no casualties, the army said. Maj. Gen. Matan Vilnai, head of the army's southern command, said the infiltration was apparently linked to the second anniversary of the uprising against Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which comes Saturday.
