A federal jury convicted a 24-year-old Washington man of running a drug ring that the government said distributed up to 30% of the cocaine in the nation’s capital. The verdicts mean Rayful Edmond III, 24, faces a mandatory life prison sentence. The U.S. District Court jury found Edmond guilty of all seven charges against him after more than four days of deliberations, capping a 12-week trial.
