The Anti-CIA Mural in Ecuador’s Congress

Share

Guayasamin was a propaganda dupe of the Marxist “Hate America” and “Hate CIA” campaigns that penetrated the souls of many Latin American intellectuals and artists, making them into revolutionary sloganeers fueling terrorism in their own countries.

Smith’s article might have explained that the U.S.A. has held high the torch of freedom despite clever anti-U.S. propaganda that has deceived not only artists such as Guayasamin but some Americans as well. Guayasamin himself should climb a ladder and erase “CIA” from the death’s-head of his painting to apologize publicly for making himself an unwitting tool of the enemies of freedom.
