Chrysler May Build New Subcompact: A Chrysler Corp. vice president said the No. 3 car maker plans to replace its subcompact Omni and Horizon cars with an inexpensive, fuel-efficient model that may be domestically built after 1993. John Damoose, Chrysler’s newly appointed vice president of brand marketing, also acknowledged that Chrysler’s near-term strategy is centered on preserving its current share of the U.S. car and truck market, now at about 13.8%.
