National Technical Shows 9% Increase in Profit

National Technical Systems said its fiscal third-quarter profit rose 9% from a year earlier on a 1% increase in revenue.

The Calabasas company, which provides engineering and testing services, said net income in the quarter that ended Oct. 31 rose to $282,000 from $259,000 a year earlier, while its revenue edged up to $7.6 million from $7.52 million.

For the first nine months of its fiscal year, National Technical’s profit edged up to $895,000 from $893,000, despite a decline in its revenue to $23 million from $23.6 million.
