Joe Montana’s condition was downgraded from probable to questionable, an indication that the San Francisco 49ers might hold the quarterback out of Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Montana, who has been nursing bruised ribs suffered on Nov. 19 against Green Bay, did not practice Thursday.
