Simi Shooting Studied for Possible Gang Link

Aweekend drive-by shooting at a house in Simi Valley apparently resulted from a conflict between two Filipino gangs, police said Monday.

No one was injured in the incident, which occurred Saturday night in the 3800 block of Merrill Court, Simi Valley police Sgt. Larry Twichell said. Numerous shots were fired into a residence from a passing vehicle, police said.

Twichell said investigators were looking into a possible link between the shooting and Filipino gangs but said no other details were being released. The names of the occupants of the home were being withheld.
