Evolution, Creationism and Public Education

Share

Contrary to the editorial, “Creationists Should Give It a Rest” (Dec. 16), creation science may be studied and taught without reference to the Bible or any religious book. This is so because the underlying principle of creation science is simply the concept that the universe is not self-generated; that is, it came into existence as a result of creative processes which are not now observed in nature. A creationist is one who interprets nature and scientific data from this philosophical point of view.

Creationists should continue to demand that creation science be at least taught on an equal basis with evolution so that students will be given the opportunity to study both so they may see which has the obvious greater credibility.
