I commend the people of Eastern Europe for having liberated themselves from the tyranny of malignant, authoritarian governments, and for courageously embarking upon a new life of individual freedom through democracy.
It is to the success of the journey that I offer the following counsel: Democracy is not capitalism. Heed these words well--lest you succumb to a more insidiously oppressive cancer than that which you have recently removed.
Hope for America and the world may hinge on creation of something new and wonderful in the realm of healthy socioeconomic systems.
