Colleges : Foundation Picks La Verne

The University of La Verne has been selected to participate in the Sears-Roebuck Foundation’s 1989-90 “Teaching Excellence and Campus Leadership Award Program.”

The Sears-Roebuck awards are distributed among more than 700 of the nation’s leading private liberal arts colleges and universities and recognize top educators on each campus for their resourcefulness and leadership.

Winners will be selected by a group of administrators, faculty and alumni.

Each winning faculty member will receive $1,000 and the University of La Verne will get an institutional grant of $1,500 to encourage faculty enrichment, campus leadership and improved teaching.
