Oregon withstood a late Washington State rally led by Bennie Seltzer to beat the Cougars, 82-68, Sunday in a Pacific 10 Conference game.

Oregon led, 60-52, with seven minutes to play. That’s when Seltzer made three three-point baskets and a free throw in a span of 75 seconds to cut the lead to 64-62, but the Ducks then scored 11 consecutive points to take a 75-62 lead with 2:35 left.

Seltzer, who led all scorers with 25 points, scored nine in the first half and 16 in the final nine minutes of the game. Washington State’s only other player in double figures was Darryl Woods with 10.
