Truckers Picket Port to Protest Diesel Cost

HOUSTON —
Independent truckers parked their rigs and set up picket lines at the Port of Houston today in a work stoppage they hoped will spread nationwide and call attention to high diesel fuel prices and low hauling rates.
Leaders of the National Independent Truckers Assn. in Houston said they hoped members of other unions will honor their picket lines.
