Gillette Seeks Soviet Venture: Gillette Co., the world’s largest maker of razors and blades, said it was negotiating on a joint venture to build the company’s first manufacturing plant in the Soviet Union. Gillette said it had signed a memorandum of intent with a Soviet group, the Central Scientific-Production Assn., known as Leninets, which employs 40,000 people in the manufacture and sale of consumer products and in scientific, ecological and research activities. Gillette said it hopes to sign a definitive agreement for the project later this year.
